2024.03 – 2025.09Synthesized 10 final analogues and improved nucleobase coupling yield from 10% to 35%.
A2A Adenosine Receptor
2025.01 – 2025.09Synthesized 10 C2-aryl analogues. The phenyl (13a) and meta-cyano (13h) analogues showed 90% hA2AAR binding inhibition at 10 μM in external assays.
Heterocyclic Compound Library
2021.12 – 2022.12Synthesized approximately 50 compounds across the project and documented 21 in an undergraduate thesis.
Thesis: synthesized 10 final analogues; compared yields of 10%, 25% and 35% across bases with 18-crown-6. Acquired and interpreted ¹H, ¹³C and ¹⁹F NMR and reviewed external HRMS results. Biological testing was performed externally.
External anticancer evaluation: nine thesis compounds tested against six human cancer cell lines; all IC50 values exceeded 20 μM. Proposed antiviral evaluation as follow-up work.
